2009 Minnesota Spring Turkey Hunting Information: The 2009 spring turkey season application deadline for both resident and non resident hunters is January 9, 2009. There is a $3.00 application fee for applying. The license fee is $23.00 for resident hunters and $83.00 for non resident hunters. The MN Turkey stamp fee is included in the license fee. The season dates for the 2009 hunting season are as follows: April 15 19, April 20 24, April 25 29, April 30 May 4, May 5 9, May 10 14, May 15 21 and May 22 28. The limit is one bearded turkey per season per hunter. The legal shooting hours are one half hour before sunrise until sunset. 2009 Wisconsin Spring Turkey Hunting Information: The 2009 Wisconsin spring turkey application deadline is Wednesday December 10, 2008. There is a $3.00 application fee for applying. The license fee is $15.00 for residents and $60.00 for non residents. There is also a $5.25 turkey stamp required as well. Successful applicants will be notified via mail by early February. The spring wild turkey season consists of 6 time periods that run for 5 days each. The more time choices and zones you select on your application, the greater the chance you have at receiving a permit. The 2009 spring turkey season dates are as follows: A) April 15 19, B) April 22 26, C) April 29 - May 3, D) May 6 - 10, E) May 13 17, F) May 20 24.
Wisconsin turkey hunters should note that spring second turkey permits will not be issued through the preference drawing. In the past if the number of spring turkey permits exceeded the number of applications for a specific zone and time period all remaining permits were issued through the preference drawing. Leftover permits will be made available for purchase until the quota is met. The fee for those permits will be $10 for residents, and $15 for nonresidents. All hunters will also be required to pay the spring turkey license and stamp fee, unless they have previously purchased the license or stamp, or are a 2008 Conservation Patron license holder. Residents and nonresidents will have equal opportunity to purchase these permits. Purchasing these permits will not affect your preference status for future spring or fall turkey permit drawings. 2009 Iowa Spring Turkey Hunting Information: The 2009 Iowa spring turkey hunting application period for non residents is December 15, 2008 January 25, 2009. The application period for resident turkey hunters is December 15, 2008 Last Day. Leftover turkey hunting tags will go on sale on February 7, 2009. Residents may purchase turkey hunting licenses through licensed vendors, online or through the telephone ordering system at (1-800-367-1188). Nonresidents can apply online or by telephone at (1-800-367-1188). The 2009 spring Iowa turkey hunting season dates are as follows: Youth Season: Apr 10 - 12 (IA residents only).Combination Gun/Bow: Season 1: Apr 13 16, Season 2: Apr 17 21, Season 3: Apr 22 28, Season 4: Apr 29 - May 17. Archery Only Season: Apr 13 - May 17 (IA residents only). The Daily bag and season possession limit is one bearded or male wild turkey for each valid license and transportation tag issued to the hunter. 2009 South Dakota Spring Turkey Hunting Information: The 2009 South Dakota application is February 20, 2009. Resident turkey tags are $20.00 and non resident turkey tags are $80.00. A second turkey tag is available for residents, for an additional $25.00 and for non residents at $100.00. All turkey licenses (limited lottery and unlimited tags) must be purchased through the Game, Fish and Parks Licensing Office in Pierre. Applications may be submitted online or via mail through the end of the season, but please allow a minimum of 7-10 days for delivery of your license. 2009 Nebraska Spring Turkey Hunting Information: 2009 Nebraska Spring Turkey Hunting Licenses are available over the counter. There is no application process needed to purchase a Nebraska turkey hunting license. A Resident turkey permit is $24.00. A Resident land Owner turkey tag is $12.50. A Non resident turkey permit is $86.00. A non resident land owner turkey permit is $43.50. There is a limit of three permits per hunter, per year. The bag limit is one bearded turkey per day. The 2009 Nebraska Spring Turkey Hunting Season Dates are as follows: Archery Only Hunting: March 25 - May 31, 2009. Shotgun: April 18 - May 31, 2009. 2009 Kansas Spring Turkey Hunting Information: 2009 Kansas Spring Turkey Hunting Application Deadline to apply for a Unit 4 is February 13th, 2009. Regular Season Dates are as follows: (firearm/archery): April 8 - May 31, 2009.Archery Only Turkey Season: April 1 - 7, 2009. Youth Turkey Season (16 and younger, no minimum age): April 1 - 7, 2009. Shooting Hours Are: One-half hour before sunrise to sunset. Legal Equipment: long, recurve or compound bows and shotguns and muzzleloading shotguns 20 gauge or larger using shot sizes 2 through 9. Limit: Any individual who has purchased a spring turkey permit is eligible for one second turkey game tag. Spring game tags are valid for Units 2 and 3 ONLY. 2009 Illinois Spring Turkey Hunting Information: 2009 Resident Spring Turkey Hunting information: APPLICATION DATES- 1st lottery deadline - Dec 1 - Residents only, 2nd lottery deadline - Jan 12 - First time applicants, non-residents & rejected applicants, 3rd lottery deadline - Feb. 9 - Anyone who does not have a permit or has one permit. Random daily drawings - March 9 - Anyone who does not have a permit or has one or two permits. BAG LIMIT: One male turkey (gobbler) or one hen with a visible beard per permit. Limit of 3 turkeys, must have a valid permit for each turkey taken. HUNTING HOURS ½ hour before sunrise until 1:00 p.m. during each day of the season. HUNTING ZONES: The Northern Zone includes that portion of Illinois north of Crawford, Jasper, Effingham, Fayette, Bond and Madison counties. The Southern Zone includes the remainder of the state.
