Standard 3 Day Canada Goose Hunt 

By late September the fall skies turn to a nearly endless sight of migrating Canada Geese, our area hold an unprecedented number of birds from the beginning of October until mid-December.  We lease over 100,000 prime goose hunting acres, we also have access to many more acres and public waterways.  Most of our hunting is field hunting, however, by request we can give you a water hunting experience like no other.  We hunt a combination of feeder fields and traffic fields, trying to give our hunters a great mix of hunting experiences.  Hunting feeder fields provides fast action, in the heat of the battle, birds will come quickly and be trying to land all around you.

A Typical Day:

We meet our groups of hunters between 5 - 5:30am each morning, then proceed to make a quick stop for coffee and snacks before heading to the field.  Were usually in the field by 6am, quickly setting up quality spreads of decoys and reading the blinds.  We hunt from a variety of styles of blinds, depending on the day, and what is best for the situation.  The geese will typically start flying shortly after daylight, and the action is fast and furious.  While we’ll hunt for as long as require to fill limits, most days guys are done with-in an hour or two. 

For those that like to enjoy spending more time in the field and taking in the endless flights of birds, some prefer to hunt traffic type set-ups.  These hunts are a great time to watch 1000’s of birds, and let the guides put on a calling performance of a life-time and show their talents at working birds.  It’s a great way to enjoy the morning in the field with your friends.  Hunting from a pit watching 1000’s of birds worth is an unforgettable experience. After the hunt we’ll head back to where were staying, and everyone gets to relax.  Our guides will clean all the birds, then are back on the road scouting for the next day. 

In the afternoons we do offer additional hunting and fishing opportunities for those that wish to add it to their package.  Including: Duck Hunting, Pheasant Hunting (preserve style), Grouse & Woodcock (wild), Walleye, Pike, and Bass fishing (Smallmouth & Largemouth).  In addition to our great hunting, were home to some world class fishing. 

ALSO OFFERING: Late Season Duck Hunts

Typically our best duck hunting of the season is from mid-November until mid-January, as well goose hunting will remain great until late December.  During this time we have an abundance of ducks, as well as many varieties and all in great plumage.  While our staple is Mallard and Goldeneye Hunting, we have lots of Bluebills, Red Heads, and Old Squaws to chase around.  At this time of the year we get the ideal waterfowl weather, cold, wind, and snow, which can make it a bit of an adventure, but always worth the trip.
