 | About The Outfitter: I'm Jeff Colwell, owner / guide of Front Range Guide Service. I am a Colorado native and have been hunting waterfowl here on the Front Range for over 30 years. My waterfowling start began at the age of 7 years when I went on my first duck hunt right here on the Front Range of Colorado. Now at the age of 42, I have watched a transformation of this area over the years that many have not witnessed. Years ago migration paths were different and wintering geese were fewer and farther between. |
| Until I reached the teen years, our resident population of Canada geese was much smaller and goose hunting opportunities were spread across a much smaller area. I was fortunate to have been raised in Loveland, only a few short miles from the spot where our local flock was started. Back in those days, duck hunting was better and goose hunting at times was more of an "opportunity". Back then goose decoy spreads were not as common on the Front Range, and Lamar, Co. was known as the hotspot. This evolution of goose hunting grabbed my heart and soul, and created the zeal for the sport that I still have today. The love for the outdoors has led me in many directions including guiding, sporting goods retail, tournament bass fishing, competing and judging in calling competitions and hunting and fishing across the U.S. and into Canada. My first love however has always been waterfowl hunting and that is the reason I started my own company known as Front Range Guide Service. |

Colorado Duck Hunting & Canada Goose Hunting At Front Range Guide service we specialize in Fully guided waterfowl hunting on Colorado's Eastern Front Range. Attention to detail is our first priority. This assures you the experience you would expect with an outfitter. We have well over a dozen different Canada goose hunting locations to choose from on a daily basis. All locations are on established tried and true flight lines deep in the heart of the wintering grounds. All of our Colorado goose hunting takes place from pits or permanent water blinds. We do not from uncomfortable, hard to shoot out of layout blinds. Come experience what decoy hunting for ducks and geese was meant to be like with the awesome backdrop of the Rockies. A Typical Day:
We will typically meet well before legal shooting hours at either a pre-determined location or at you hotel. From there it is off to the pit or blind in a pre scouted fresh Colorado goose hunting field where after setting the spread your hunt will begin. If lunch time rolls around and limits are not yet met, we often take a short break to go eat and then right back to the pit to complete an exiting afternoon of goose hunting on Colorado’s Front Range! Our never ending attention to detail, high quality equipment, expert calling and camouflage is second to none! These, along with our hunting practices will assure big Canadas decoying up close and personal. Decoying Canada geese for close range shooting is our top priority. We also offer duck and goose combo guided hunts. Our Colorado Duck Hunting is much the same format. | |

ALSO OFFERING: Colorado Duck Hunting Our Colorado duck hunting can be fast and exciting with a smattering of species available from puddlers to divers. We offer fully guided morning or afternoon duck hunts on water and dry land, for diversity. Some of the best dates traditionally for our Colorado duck hunting has been from October through January. You can expect to be hunting ducks on ponds, warm water sloughs, or a picked corn fields. No matter where you are, you will be hunting from blinds that are comfortable and well camouflaged. All of our guided duck hunts are done over premium multi species decoy sets that include floaters, full body, and various motion producing decoys. We also offer early Teal and Dove hunts to hone your shooting skills and fix the pre-season blues. Both our dove and duck hunts are very reasonable priced. | |

Lodging And Meals:
Lodging and meals are not included in our hunt cost. However, we can provide you with a corporate rate at a fine hotel near our guided hunt areas. The hotel is located near many fine eating establishments, and offers a Continental style breakfast for guests. Holiday Inn Express & Suites
