About The Outfitter:

Top Gun has been offering hunts since 1998!  I am owner/outfitter Matt Kostka. I am an all waterfowl outfitter that follows the migration of snow geese for up to 9 months of the year. I hunt every species of waterfowl in five mid-western states and Saskatchewan.  I currently am licensed in four zones in Saskatchewan, Canada and have a multi-zone outfitter's license in North Dakota that allows me to hunt the entire state. I also run hunts in Missouri, Minnesota and South Dakota.

I specialize in the field hunting of snow geese, mallards, and Canada's.  I start in Saskatchewan in the fall and follow them down through the Dakota's ending in Kansas and Missouri.  When the spring rolls around I hunt in N.W. Missouri and N.E. Kansas where we have been hunting for the last 9 seasons.  I offer hunts near Squaw Creek NWR.  I currently have a 100+ person lodge available just minutes from the refuge that provide food, recreation, and has a full service bar.  I also have 9 years of farmer / outfitter relationships that give us endless amount of land leases. After Missouri / Kansas we jump up to South Dakota, North Dakota, and end our season back up in Saskatchewan. All of these locations are run out of hotels and lodges. We have excellent success rates on decoying snows in each location and they are all comparable to each other. 

Our Philosophy:

I am a full time waterfowl hunting guide.  I am not a booking agent, I do not make calls, decoys, blinds, tell you how to blow your call, I don't call judges, invent worthless gimmicks; sell deer hunts, pheasant hunts, pigeon hunts, varmint hunts, rabbit hunts, or have another job period. All I do is scout, lock up land, find the "Best kept secrets" while they are still secrets, scout; scout; scout, use the latest techniques and the most effective equipment on the market, scout, and find all areas in Saskatchewan and the Central and Mississippi flyway that hold Snows, Canada's, Mallards, Wigeon, Pintails, Whitefronts, and Sand Hills.  And I should mention that we scout  A lot!!!

Our job is to put our customers on birds day in and day out. You will not  limit out everyday in the fall and you will not  have 100+ bird days everyday in the spring.  We will have you in the right area with the right equipment and concealment when that 100 bird day does present itself to you.  When the birds are not cooperating my guides are trained comedians to help pass the time until the switch is flipped and your barrel melts off!

In each area we have a different set up for lodging and meals. We work hard to ensure that your stay is enjoyable no matter where the hunt is being conducted.  Our lodging options range from on-site lodging and cabins to local motels depending on the specific hunt that you have booked. Meals work the same way, in some situations we offer a meal plan, while in other areas we rely on local restaurants. Please contact me for specific details on the hunt of your choice. I offer a wide range of rate packages that run from $90 to $600 per day. Each package will have food and lodging available. I can customize any hunt to meet your needs.  I can have dinner and cocktails ready for you when you get back to the lodge or I can have a grill with propane and an RV hookup for you if you are self sufficient.  I have corporate and large party rates.  Please email me below for details.
