If you prefer to a do-it-yourself instead of a guided trip we have a brand new fleet of fishing boats and pontoon boats available for you to use as well. Extensive management efforts on Devils Lake have resulted in a fantastic fishing experience with walleyes that are regularly over 8 lbs. Along with huge perch and northern pike 10-15 lbs!
A Typical Day:
At Woodland Resort a typical day for our guided anglers starts by meeting their guide at the bait shop around 7:00 AM to make a game plan and load the guide boat. As you hit the water you will enjoy a nice day on the lake attacking our famous walleyes, pike, white bass, and sometimes perch. You also will get to expereince the great scenery and wildlife that Devils Lake provides throughout the year. After a great day on the lake you will be back to the resort to relax and enjoy a great meal while your guide cleans the day’s catch. After kicking back and relaxing for a couple of hours around the resort, its off to bed to dream of the day's adventures, what tomorrow on the water holds instore!

The Devils Lake Region located in the heart of the prairie pothole region, also known as the "Duck Factory". We produce a staggering number of fowl each year. Besides some of the finest duck hunting in North America, we are also home to one of the largest fall staging area for Snow and Blue Geese in the U.S. Devils Lake and area lakes also hold thousands of divers on big water. If you want to hunt other birds, our resort is close to thousands of sandhill crane, and hundreds of tundra swans. North Dakota is America's last frontier for waterfowl hunting an un-crowded, pure hunting experience like it was in the old days. About The Outfitter
Woodland Resort is owned and operated by Kyle and Karin Blanchfield. Kyle’s Grandparents purchased the property in the late 40’s and the Blanchfield’s started the resort in 1988. Since it’s beginning, the Blanchfield family has focused their efforts on providing a quality experience for the resort’s guests. Woodland Resort has developed top-notch programs for guided angling and guided waterfowl hunts that incorporate excellent guides, equipment, lodging, meals, and 5 star service.
