During the month of March we were able to rejoin Adam Johnson of First Flight Finishers on another exciting waterfowl hunting adventure. This trip we met Adam in Missouri for a spring snow goose hunt that turned out to be one for the books. Adam was able to land multiple flocks of well over 200 snow geese at our feet! South Dakota Spring Snow Goose Hunts Our Spring Snow Goose hunts usually start in mid-March and go up until the first part of April in South Dakota. During your hunt you can expect to hunt over a spread of possibly 2,000+ decoys. We have occasionally set out 3,500 Sillosocks. The spread will consist of custom UV painted Sillosock. Adam has invested countless hours and dollars into his decoy spreads. He also has the finest electronic callers and layout blinds to make your hunt as comfortable as possible. In addition, we are proud to say we have been hunting these areas since the beginning of the Spring Snow Goose conservation season opened. We do a lot of scouting to keep you on fresh fields knowing that’s where the birds want to be. A spring hunt with First Flight Finishers will be a most memorable hunting experience! | |

A Typical Day:
We typically meet around an hour or so before sunrise. Then you will follow us to the field we have planned for that day. When you get to the field your guide will go over a few things on what the day will entail, safety rules, and bird appearance. The typical days layout is to hunt until around noon and then break for about an hour or so lunch. Then we will meet back at the field for the evening flight. The guide will call all the shots and most of them will be anywhere from 20-35 yards. We move with the migration during the season. The spots we hunt all hold a large number of snows, blues, and Ross geese which is why we have had great success year in and out. We accommodate to any group size. But only hunt 4-8 hunters per field unless a specific request is made. Safety is the number one rule when we are in the field. | |

ALSO OFFERING: Minnesota Fall Waterfowl Hunts
First Flight Finishers also offers guided Minnesota Giant Canada goose and duck hunts. These hunts can be conducted from pits and layout blinds for geese in the fields to mallards on the water/field. We have land leases or own land ranging from ponds, flooded corn and regular grain fields to lakes. These hunts are first class as well. We only use the best and top of the line equipment when hunting with us. Our guides are all experienced callers and expert hunters.

Lodging And Meals As Adam and his guides travel throughout the Midwest each year they have found some of the most accommodating motels in the areas they hunt. Although they do not offer lodging or meals in your cost, they will make sure to contact you well in advance to let you know where they will be stationed at the time of your hunt. All of the places they stay near are reasonably close to the fields with restaurants and convenient stores near by. |

Hunting Rates And Packages:
We offer daily rates for these hunting packages as well as extended stay rates. Our spring rate is $175 per day. This is the guide fee and does not include meals and lodging. But we do offer group rates as well. Gratuities are also appreciated to the guides for a job well done.
