Wisconsin Sea Duck Hunting

Come test your gunning skills hunting on sea ducks and diver ducks on the vast open waters of Lake Michigan and the bay of Green Bay. We are scouting everyday on our 24 ft Duck Water Boat. On this incredible and unique duck hunting adventure you will have the opportunity to hunt sea ducks right here in the Midwest! We have excellent success on Old Squaws and Common Scoters. During your hunt it is not uncommon to see over 3,000 Old Squaws when the big flocks are down. We only cater to groups of 2 – 4 hunters per day and you will be hunting over your own set of decoys out of a 1 man layout boat (which is VERY safe). We also offer exceptional diver duck hunts on the bay of Green Bay. This is an unbelievable combo hunt for those looking for a 2 – 3 day hunting adventure. This is a much different hunt that banging honkers over cornfields… but in some ways very similar.

A Typical Day:

Imagine yourself lying on your back in one of our Mighty Layout Boys- Magnum Layout Boats, with decoys deployed and the sound of the waves rippling off the boat, about a mile out on Lake Michigan. In the midst of the morning sunrise a flock of “Longtails” have their wings cupped and are committed to your decoy spread. As soon as the first drake hits the water you can’t radio us fast enough to come retrieve your bird! Then far off in the distance you hear your hunting pal rattle off a barrage of three shots of his own and he calls in “bird down”. This goes on all morning until each of your group have taken a daily limit of Old Squaws and / or Scoters. For those interested in shooting Redheads, Ring necks, Buffleheads and Bluebills, stick around for day two, for a hunt on the bay of Green Bay, where we offer a totally different, yet just as exciting duck hunt over a shallow bay marsh setting. 

ALSO OFFERING: Field Goose Hunts / Charter Fishing

We also offer fantastic Canada goose hunts around the eastern Wisconsin area. We hunt private, pre-scouted fields for Giant Canada geese. We start the season during the early Canada goose season where the daily limit is 5 birds per hunter, per day. We then continue on through the regular hunting season and our clients enjoy success in almost every hunt. We use top of the line full body & shell decoy spreads, quality layout blinds and expert calling.

In addition to our waterfowl hunts, during the summer months we also offer premier charter fishing for salmon, trout and walleyes. The Big Water Outdoors fishing team is not restricted to one port. We trailer our 24ft center console to stay with the migration of fish.
