As my father and I pulled into the driveway of the High Prairie Lodge and Outfitters located just outside of Deadwood, South Dakota, I could already tell we were in for a real treat. Outfitter Dave Ciani greeted us with a smile and a handshake and as he showed us to our rooms, in his restored 1800 stone guest house, the smell of wife Teri’s incredible roast beef dinner filled the air. I already knew this “All Inclusive Archery Antelope Hunt” was going to be everything that I had expected and more even before it started. As gourmet chef Teri Ciani proceeded to put the finishing touches on our fabulous dinner, we had a chance to unload our equipment and zing a couple arrows into Dave’s archery range before dark to make sure we were ready for the morning hunt…….

Hunting Accommodations
The High Prairie Lodge is based out of Deadwood, South Dakota and offers a fantastic remodled 1800 stone house accommodations. With a full service modern kitchen, to the all season hot tub, this place has it all. For those hunters who will be hunting outside of the base camp, Dave secures the best in area accommodations including a secluded cabin on a remote lake for his Saskatchewan waterfowl hunters.

Custom Hunts Available
Big Game Hunting
High Prairie Outfitters offers a wide variety of custom big game hunts including fully guided, trophy whitetail deer hunts, mule deer hunts and antelope hunts in both Nebraska and South Dakota. Expert big game hunting outfitter Dave Ciani will personally guide your hunt.
Any of these custom hunts can be set up for archery, rifle or muzzleloader hunts and many of the archery and muzzleloader tags are available over the counter. All of the big game hunts include five star lodging and meals.
Spring Turkey Hunting
High Prairie Outfitters offers fully guided and semi guided Merriam turkey hunts. They hunt the Black Hills & Prairie in both Nebraska and South Dakota (with many options). This is a full days hunt for Ruffed grouse, Sharp tail grouse and Hungarian partridge on the wild prairies of Saskatchewan. Spring Snow Goose Hunting
High Prairie Outfitters offers fully guided spring snow goose hunts in South Dakota, Nebraska and Saskatchewan. Dave follows the birds from early February in Nebraska, all the way up through Saskatchewan in May. Hunting Rates
All of the hunts that High Prairie Outfitters offers are completely customizable. Including everything from the lodging and meals to the length of stay, as well as the specific type of hunting done and number of hunters being guided. Therefore the trip rates are to be negociated with at the time of booking with owner Dave Ciani. Dave does offer more economical hunt packages for those looking to save a little money but be assured that your hunting success will never be compromised.
