Our guided elk hunts are on horseback with our guides doing the calling to try bring a bull within range for our hunters to get a shot. Our guided rifle elk hunts are also done on horseback to and from the areas we hunt everyday. We also offer guided elk hunts for archery and several rifle seasons on very good quality private ranches. December guided cow hunts are also available. We will assist in arranging an elk hunt that meets all your desires.

All hunting camps are 7 day hunts. This consists of packing into camp on the first day, five full hunting days, and packing out on the last day. Arrangements can be made for longer archery and muzzle hunts for an additional fee. We make every effort to arrange hunt dates to fit your desired times. On our guided elk camp, hunters are up at 4 am. Breakfast is served at 4:30 and we are on horses by 5 am. The hunting areas we go to may be a half hr to an hour and half ride. We spend the day in the field with your guide and return after sun set to a big supper and the days hunting stories.

About The Outfitter:
Having an interest in hunting since early childhood, Scott Gesell found the opportunity to become an outfitter in Colorado and has been offering guiding elk hunts and mule deer hunts since 2004. His enjoyment of horses and elk hunting came together and spending months in the mountains on horseback packing and setting Colorado elk drop camps allows for the knowledge of the animals they hunt.
