Montana Duck & Goose Hunts

Our hunts are 95% conducted over water.  This is a fully guided hunt conducted out of our custom 17’ mud buddy boat set up along with our two- 10’ layout boats. We also have multiple drift boats and rafts available as needed. We strive to offer a very personalized, memorable Montana waterfowl hunting experience, thus we prefer to take groups of 2 hunters at a time to ensure a quality hunting experience. As many people know, even on a slow day on the water a bag limit of 6 – 10 birds is not a bad day for 2 hunters but for a group of 4 – 6 hunters that is a tough day. In addition, we utilize two- 1 man layout boats as well as our custom 17’ boat blind so having 2 – 3 hunters at a time just makes for a more rewarding experience. We can however accommodate larger groups, we would just split them into several groups. Our hunts are conducted out of the Bozeman - Ennis area- a true waterfowl mecca when the migration arrives!

A Typical Day:

On your Montana waterfowl hunt with Blast N Cast Outfitters you can expect to shoot up to 13 different species of ducks, including puddlers and divers. The number one bird we hunt is the almighty greenhead. We also harvest a lot of teal, gadwalls, widgeons, bluebills, canvasbacks, redheads and golden eyes to name a few. In addition we also hunt Canada geese over water and out of layout boats. On your hunt we will help you set up motel reservations in very close proximity to where we will be hunting. You will either be hunting out of our 17’ custom boat blind or a one man layout boat overlooking a spread of up to 150 high quality duck and goose decoys. If you've never shot incoming Canada geese over a layout boat it is really a treat. We look forward to sharing an exciting waterfowl hunting experience with you this fall!

ALSO OFFERING: Fishing Combos & Big Game Hunts

As our name states, we also offer a fantastic waterfowl / fishing combo package. This package is an action packed day of waterfowl hunting in the morning and fishing in the afternoon. We offer a very nice 2 man package at $550.00 per boat (2 man limit per boat). We conduct our fly fishing excursions on the Yellowstone, Madison and Missouri Rivers. We usually hunt until around 1pm and then switch gears and go for the gills! In addition to our waterfowl hunts, we also offer World Class big game hunts. We specialize in mule deer / whitetails and elk hunts. We run tent camp set ups out of the National Forest as well as several private land leases.  Please contact outfitter Todd France for specific details on either of these packages.
